People say "escapism" like it's a small word, a slightly embarrassed word - I know, I know, real life is what matters. I think they've got it backwards.
The worlds I read into as a kid weren't escapes from real life. They were rehearsal rooms for it. You learn what loyalty costs by watching it cost a hobbit something. You learn what grief looks like by losing a fictional cat. The skills come back with you.
I came to Aermia because the name pointed at this - a place that takes secondary worlds seriously without being precious about it. Looking forward to seeing what people build here.
